Rimouski, October 15, 2024 – The Institut maritime du Québec (IMQ) is proud to announce the accreditation of its program Gestion des opérations et de la chaîne logistique (GOCL) by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport North America (CILTNA). This renewable 5-year agreement marks a significant milestone for IMQ, recognizing the quality of its program and providing graduates of the cohort admitted from Fall 2025 onward with a prestigious certification, in addition to their diploma from the École nationale, issued by the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur.
CILTNA, the North American branch of the international Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), is renowned for its rigorous standards and expertise in logistics and supply chain management worldwide. With this certification, GOCL program graduates will enhance their professional profiles and access new career opportunities within a global network.
The certification will also enable graduates to become members of CILTNA and obtain an internationally recognized logistics and transport diploma from CILT International, adding further recognition to their qualifications. Additionally, the teaching staff of the GOCL program has also received certification as qualified instructors by CILTNA, further strengthening their expertise and ability to train the next generation of specialists.
“We are thrilled about this agreement with CILTNA, which validates the excellence of our program and IMQ’s commitment to training skilled professionals. This certification provides our students with a competitive edge by integrating them into an influential international network, while also confirming their mastery of key competencies in the logistics and transport sector,” said Mélanie Leblanc, Director of the Institut maritime du Québec.
IMQ and CILTNA share a common vision: to improve the performance of supply chains by training professionals who stand out and advance rapidly in their field. By connecting with professionals worldwide, graduates will benefit from valuable networking opportunities that will further enhance the value of their education at IMQ.
This partnership reflects the commitment of both institutions to continue working together to offer new educational initiatives in the field of transport and logistics, while supporting the personal and professional development of those working in this key sector.
