His technical skills in automation, supported by an MSc in Physics, enable him to craft practical, innovative solutions that meet the demands of modern cities.
Asiri’s work spans the design of equitable transit systems, road safety, and agent-based models that drive fair access and sustainability across communities. His proposal for a sustainable transit system in Calgary’s inner city earned him the Hillhurst Sunnyside Prize. He is a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholar and a recipient of the Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship.
Now a CILTNA’s Board of Directors member, Asiri is committed to advancing smart, resilient transit systems that connect and empower communities. He believes, “True progress is measured not by how far we go, but by how many we bring along. A path walked together is the only journey that transforms both the traveler and the world”— a principle that drives his vision for the future of transportation.
