Anthony has worked at the intersection of industry and government throughout his career, with a focus on policy development, communications, strategic planning, crisis management and stakeholder relations.
He served as a senior advisor to a federal minister in the Transport and National Defence portfolios, and with oversight of crown corporations. Among the many major issues on which Anthony worked were the government’s immediate and long-term response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and the ten-year review of the Canada Transportation Act.
Anthony also worked as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Government Relations for the Canadian Bankers Association. He played a central role in the three separate reviews of the financial services legislative framework, in the policy and regulatory discussions following the Global Financial Crisis, and in the coordination between government and the banking industry on the development of financial aid programs in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to serving as President of CILTNA, Anthony operates Polci Public Affairs, providing policy support and strategic public affairs counsel and advice to private sector and association clients.
