The Port of Long Beach is building the Port of the Future™ – a larger, smarter, more connected gateway designed to move 20 million container units annually by 2050.

Port of Long Beach CEO, Dr. Noel Hacegaba will outline his 2050 Vision and discuss how today’s investments in infrastructure and innovation will strengthen every link across the supply chain and prepare the Port for future growth.

Attendees will learn how the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility will enhance efficiency by speeding goods to destinations across the country. When completed in 2032, this game-changing facility will more than triple on-dock rail capacity at the Port of Long Beach and trim the time it takes to move cargo from ship to rail from four days to 24 hours.

The discussion will also cover how leveraging digital connectivity through the CargoNav platform is providing greater visibility to track shipments, plan operations and maximize efficiency. CargoNav is equipped with a Universal Trucking Appointment System allowing motor carriers to schedule the pickup and drop-off of containers in the San Pedro Bay ports complex – Long Beach and Los Angeles combined.

And, Hacegaba will discuss how the Port of Long Beach is pursuing a goal to become the world’s first zero-emissions port.
