About the speaker:

Peta Wolmarans, Director – Planning at Vancouver International Airport

Peta is a transportation planner and champion of data driven decision-making. She has worked at Vancouver International Airport since 2018, as the Airport Authority navigated through both the busiest and quietest years since its inception.  Peta leads the team responsible for long range planning of airside, terminal, and groundside infrastructure, and land assets. In 2021 she helped develop the Airport’s post-pandemic strategic plan – with key themes including climate, digital transformation, indigenous reconciliation, financial sustainability, and creating a gateway to the new economy. She leads the airport’s climate adaptation working group and is currently part of the team developing the YVR energy strategy. Prior to joining the Airport Authority Peta spent more than 20 years as a consultant, supporting infrastructure projects across the globe, including High Speed Rail, rapid transit, port and airport projects.
