Marian has 40 years of public and private sector transportation experience with a national public affairs firm, the federal government, national and provincial railways and the Canadian port system (including the Vancouver Port Corporation).

She is a previous Chair and CEO of the Canadian Transportation Agency, currently Chair of the Pacific Chapter, CILTNA, a member of the National Board and a member of the Membership Committee.

Marian is a former chair and current member of the Regional Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and Vice President, Terminal City Club.
