After 15 years executive experience in international trade, transport and logistics, Colin launched his own company in 2015 focusing on cross-border data standards for trade facilitation. Formerly Vice Chair, United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT), he is now engaged in trade-related standards development for Data Management and Interchange within the International Standards Organization (ISO) as well as ISOโ€™s Advisory Group on technical standards in national and international regulatory environments. He has also served as a Canadian delegate to the international Electronic Business MOU Management Group for ISO/IEC/ITU/UNECE. A member of CILTNAโ€™s Pacific Chapter executive committee since 2017, he is active in CILTNAโ€™s Marketing and Communications committee. Colin also writes the Pacific Horizon column for Canadaโ€™s national Maritime Magazine. He has served on the Boards of the British Columbia Freedom of Information and Privacy Association, and the BC Centre for Ability. He holds a double honours degree in Arts and Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Innovation from York Universityโ€™s Schulich School of Business.
