Becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Membership in CILTNA – the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in North America – offers benefits and services designed to support you, personally and professionally, throughout your career. Whether you are an individual just starting out in the industry, or a professional with numerous years of experience, CILTNA has something for you.
CILTNA also offers corporate memberships, enabling organizations to enhance the capability and knowledge of their employees via conferences and meetings, informational tools, and networking opportunities.
CILTNA has something for everybody, from students and those building careers, to those who have already accomplished much in the profession.
Wherever you are on your career ladder, we have a category for you.
Members of the institute pay a yearly membership fee. Because the institute is a non-profit organization, your membership fees go directly into developing and delivering the range of services and benefits on offer to you.
CILTNA membership is for emerging as well as established professionals and executives in logistics and transport. Membership requires post-secondary education from a recognized institute that is chartered by government, or accredited by CILTNA, or otherwise satisfactory to the National Board.
CILTNA’s three graded membership levels allow members to add the post-nominal letters MILT, CMILT, or FCILT after their name in any correspondence or on their curriculum vitae. These post-nominals are a professional designation exclusive to CILT International and its territories, and are recognized worldwide as certifying personal accomplishment and stature in the profession.
Prices are in CAD or USD equivalent. Canadian members also pay sales tax at the applicable rate. There is no tax for US members, or other members in the Americas.
CILTNA welcomes corporate members and encourages them to nominate high-potential people from their organization to participate in CILTNA events as part of the membership package. If you are one of these people, you are also welcome to join CILTNA and receive the personal benefits and stature of graded membership.
CILT membership grades provide formal recognition of the skills and experience of members as they progress in their careers.
On joining CILT, an individual will apply for a particular membership grade, according to their education and experience. For information on our member benefits click here to download the brochure.
The letters corresponding to a membership grade are exclusive to CILT and are authenticated by a unique membership number under CILT’s Royal Charter.
